I have no idea what this is. The images you'll see are subtle enough that it doesn't seem like one of the many hoaxes you'll find out there, purporting to be proof of the supernatural. It's damned sure more clear than anything shown by those clowns on Ghost Hunters, who will often point to a flicker of shadow and say, "Whoa! There it is! You're haunted, buddy!" What really sells this one are the voices, the incredulous curiosity of a Southern family seeing something they can't explain. They certainly sound genuine.



With less than a minute's worth of footage, it definitely left me wanting more. The shimmering apparitions remind me of the legends of will-o'-the-wisps, or even the Marfa lights. Upon a few viewings, I've decided it's just Pig Pen, running around in his dirty white sheet, but it's just ephemeral enough - just smokey enough - that I'm wanting to do a bit more digging on this family to see if anything else has popped up in their literal 'neck of the woods'. Any one have more details about this one?
