McDreamy 'Grey's Anatomy' doc Patrick Dempsey will swap surgeries for bank heists in an untitled comedy from the writers of this year's sleeper comedy hit 'The Hangover,' according to The Hollywood Reporter. Paul McGuigan ('Lucky Number Slevin') will direct from a script by writing team Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. The story finds Dempsey caught in the middle of two different robberies at the same bank, all while trying to protect the bank teller he secretly loves. No word on whether Mike Tyson will be involved in the proceedings.
Production is slated to begin in April. Dempsey was last on the big screen in 2008's 'Made of Honor,' and his next movie is the Garry Marshall ensemble romantic comedy 'Valentine's Day,' due in (shocker!) February 2010.
