It's time to welcome Dollhouse, Heroes and Smallville back to the TV sked. Will Echo's adventures live up to the promise of last season's finale and "Epitaph One"? Can Heroes turn things around in year four? Will Tom Welling look good wearing an "S" on his chest?? It's time for some answers, people.
Plus, FlashForward debuts on ABC and Warehouse 13 ends it first season on Syfy. Read on for this week's TV picks and video previews.
Heroes, "Orientation" – Circus freaks! Lesbians! Hiro on his deathbed! None of the promised storylines for season four make me want to start watching Heroes again but, surprisingly, NBC's intriguing preview video for tonight's premiere is having the opposite effect. Watch it after the jump. (Monday, 8 p.m. on NBC.)
Warehouse 13, "MacPherson" – Roger Reese returns to make trouble for Artie and the agents in the season finale. The gang tries to catch MacPherson selling Warehouse items, but he puts Artie's life in danger and makes Pete a very seductive offer. (Tuesday, 9 p.m. on Syfy.)
.
FlashForward, "No More Good Days" – What happens when everyone in the world blacks out for more than two minutes and gets a glimpse of the future? ABC attempts to answer that question with this TV adaptation of a Robert J. Sawyer novel. We've got the first act of the premiere embedded below. (Thursday, 8 p.m. on ABC.)
Fringe, "Night of Desirable Objects" – The team heads to Pennsylvania to investigate a creepy tunnel full of human remains while Walter attempts to make contact with the other reality – by using frogs. Something tells me Not Charlie won't be far behind. (Thursday, 9 p.m. on Fox.)
Dollhouse, "Vows"- Battlestar Galactica's Jamie Bamber guest stars in tonight's season premiere. Echo marries Babmer, a suspected arms trafficker, in a do-gooder mission set up by former FBI agent Paul. Is this the Joss Whedon-produced show's first step to becoming a classic, like Buffy and Firefly? We'll find out soon enough – if Fox doesn't give it the ax after a few weeks, of course. (Friday, 9 p.m. on Fox.)
Smallville, "Savior" – Clark takes his first big step to becoming Superman by wearing the "S" shield on his chest. But he still has a lot to learn about balancing his super life with his human life, as run-ins with Chloe and Lois keep reminding him. Plus, Brian Austin Green guest stars as Metallo and Zod makes his debut in the form of actor Callum Blue. (Friday, 8 p.m. on The CW.)
