2. 'Terminator Salvation' Explodes Into Theaters

The fourth installment in the 'Terminator' saga fast-forwards to a robot-ravaged 2018 to show us an adult John Connor (yeah, Edward Furlong has somehow grown up to look like Christian Bale) battling for the survival of humankind. It's a damned fun summer thrill-ride with enough eye-popping action sequences and gratuitous explosions to make Michael Bay shed tears of joy.

3. 'Inglourious Basterds' Storms 'Cannes'

Quentin Tarantino's eagerly awaited WWII epic 'Inglourious Basterds,' which stars Brad Pitt as a Nazi-scalping lieutenant, debuted at Cannes on Wednesday to an eight-minute standing ovation from critics. Half of them then went back to their hotels and wrote bad things about it.
