Whatever happened to the Greasers & Socs? Swayze. Dillon. Lowe. Cruise. Estevez. Has a single movie ever housed so many young heartthrobs?
And while those five have all sustained successful Hollywood careers, others haven't been heard from much lately (we miss you, Ralph Macchio and C. Thomas Howell).
We catch up with the "Greasers" and "Socs" from Francis Ford Coppola's classic look at teen class warfare in Tulsa, Okla.

Patrick Swayze
Now: In January of 2008, Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Though he responded well to treatment and continued to work on a memoir and on the A&E crop thriller 'The Beast,' the actor ultimately lost his battle with the disease. Swayze died on Sept. 14, 2009, at the age of 57.

Now: Film stardom, including a role in 'Red Dawn,' has given way, mostly, to rounds of TV guest spots on hit shows such as '24.' Like 'Outsiders' co-star Tom Cruise, he starred in 'War of the Worlds' in 2005 -- except his version was low-budget and straight-to-DVD.
