Hot because: How many of these things were there this year? Let's see. There was Shrek, Spider-Man, Ocean's Thirteen, Bourne, Pirates, Rush Hour, Resident Evil, and then I lose count. Historically, most Part Threes wear out their welcome, and though this was the case more often than not in 2007, audiences didn't care and ponied up huge piles of cash. And goodness knows that some guilty pleasures were had by all.How to stay hot: Follow the leads of the two exceptions to the rule. Ocean's Thirteen more or less apologized for its snooty predecessor, and The Bourne Ultimatum merely kept a brain in its head and kept up the momentum from the previous film.
