Regular DVDs still look pretty good, even on HD televisions, and the new HD formats don't make it any easier to watch movies -- a big advantage of DVD over VHS. How to turn it around: The competing camps need to flip a freakin' coin and declare a winner. We don't care who wins, but we refuse to buy a machine that may become a paperweight.
