Today the part of Harvey Dent (aka long-time Batman nemesis Two-Face) in Chris Nolan's second film from the Batman world will be played by ... *spins giant actor dial* ... Ethan Hawke! Hawke joins a proud list of candidates for the role, which is honestly growing far too large for me to list here. This rumor comes to us from the ever-present and prolific Batman-on-Film, as have many of the Harvey Dent rumors thus far. An "industry tipster" told BOF he was having lunch with a colleague who mentioned he'd heard Ethan Hawke was up for a role in the film. When quizzed further about the nature of the role Hawke said "A lawyer, I think." This, of course, leads the tipster to conjecture about the role of Dent. Hawke is no better or worse than several of the other actors who have been suggested for the role; at this point I just wish they'd get on the with casting so we can start rumor-mongering about the things other than casting.
