Sometimes celebrity news stories drag on for weeks or even months. Madonna is still fielding criticism for her decision to adopt an African child whose father is still around, Anna Nicole Smith is still in the Bahamas, currently recuperating from pneumonia, and Snoop Dogg did in fact get charged with possessing a deadly weapon. Meanwhile, I am scrabbling around to find stories about Johnny Depp or George Clooney, preferably with lots of flattering photos, but the actors appear to be reclusive this week. (George, what about your promise?) It's an unfair world.I am consoling myself with this week's gossip, which at least does seem to focus on the naughty, although not with the movie stars I ideally would like to hear make such admissions.
- More admirable than naughty: Neil Patrick Harris has outed himself and is apparently quite pleased with it. So I guess his, er, chick-obsessed character in Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle truly was acting.
- Looking for intimate-themed movie memorabilia? You can buy some undergarments worn by Marilyn Monroe in the film River of No Return when they go on the auction block later this month. Hopefully you'll have better luck than the poor soul who bought Renee Zellweger's panties from Bridget Jones's Diary and then couldn't resell them at a profit.
- Speaking of intimate memorabilia, Judi Dench may or may not have caught a peek at her costar Daniel Craig's intimate bits during the Casino Royale shoot. Defamer has some photos that seem to contradict her opinions on that matter. I don't need to tell you that the photos are not safe for work, do I?
- Photos to satisfy your prurient interest: Jessica Alba goes swimming with a friend -- whatever swimsuit she might be wearing is difficult to see in the pictures. If you prefer the Goth look, you can see Lindsay Lohan in her Halloween costume ... or prepping for a re-enactment of The Rocky Horror PIcture Show.
- Oh, here we go -- if I can't have Clooney, I can have Brad Pitt, right? A photo of Pitt clad only in boxers and socks is slated for the December cover of Vanity Fair, but apparently he never gave permission for the photo to be used in this way, so controversy is brewing. ...
