
Director Mira Nair's latest film, The Namesake, adapted from the novel by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jhumpa Lahiri, is a story about a young Indian-American man who wants desparately to fit in among his fellow Americans, even as his parents are unwilling to let go of their heritage and traditions.
