It wasn't long ago when the casting call went out
for the new Transformers live-action flick -- and now, it
looks like the actors are beginning to fall in place, as IGN is reporting some major casting moves. The list is
long, and contains several actors familiar to director Michael Bay. They are, in no particular order, Jon Voight, Michael Clarke
Duncan, Josh Duhamel, Bernie Mac, Tyrese, John Turturro, Rachael
Taylor, Megan Fox, Travis Van Winkle and John Robinson. I've got to say, this list isn't half bad; although I still don't understand how Bernie Mac continues to get hired as an actor. However, I realize most people find him funny -- so it's probably my tastes and not his abilities which cause me to think such. Nonetheless, I continue to care far more about the robots than I do about the actors surrounding them. I don't care if they cast only 5-time Oscar award winners, if the robots look stupid the movie will hold no appeal to me. And of course, I fear the devastating impact of Bay on the entire process ...
