Yesterday Martha wrote about the news that Tom Cruise is reportedly considering the bad guy part in the 3:10 to Yuma remake. Today over at Ain't it Cool News, Quint says
that Eric Bana is up for the good guy role opposite
Cruise's bad guy. Okay, I know, Tom Cruise is nuts, sure. But the guy can act - he was surprisingly good in
Collateral. And Eric Bana? Oh, yeah. I have to agree with
Quint - the fact James Mangold is considering seriously
good actors for the lead roles bodes well for the likelihood the film won't completely suck. If you're going to remake
a film that really doesn't
need to be remade at all, you might as well do it right. Just pray they don't start eyeing Mischa Barton for the female lead.
