Dr. Dolittle 3, the Eddie Murphy-free,
ripoff sequel that was
once destined for a straight-to-DVD release, is apparently just so mind-blowingly awesome that the people at 20th
Century Fox have decided to give it a theatrical release after all. Oh, goody. But wait, there's a silver lining: since
this decision was made after Fox suits screened the film around Christmas time, the movie will be a great chance for the
viewing public to finally get a grasp on what a major studio thinks is "good enough to be a theatrical
release." (I'm thinking the phrase "good enough" is a hint that the standards aren't very high.)Also, start printing up those "WARNING: Eddie Murphy thought this script was crap - and he made Daddy Day Care" stickers to affix to the movie's posters. I mean, someone has to protect the public.
