An extended international trailer for Lucky
Number Slevin is now online and features a
pretty solid cast for a film we really haven't heard much about. Starring Bruce Willis, Josh
Hartnett, Morgan Freeman, Ben Kingsley, Lucy Liu
and Staney Tucci, it almost seems as if we should feel real lucky a
film like this exists. However, after watching the lenthy (and I mean long) preview, I'm not so sure about this
one.
Probably the best way to describe the intricate plot (think cool crime caper with an american Guy Ritchie feel) would be to repeat Lucy Liu's response to Josh Hartnett after he says, "This isn't the first time this has happened to me." She then goes, "You mean this isn't the first time a crime lord has asked you to kill the gay son of a rival gangster to pay off a debt that belongs to a friend whose place you're staying in as a result of losing your job, your apartment and finding your girlfriend in bed with another guy."
Yeah, that about sums it up. I do love them international trailers though, if only for the gratuitous cursing and nudity; both of which are found in full force here. Lucky Number Slevin is due out on March 31st.
