Something feels special about today, doesn't it? Yeah, I know, you can sense that today marks something really huge, but you can't quite put your finger on it. Don't worry, you're probably not the only person who has forgotten that the flux capacaitor was invented exactly 50 years ago today. It was on this date in 1955 that Doc Brown cracked his head on the toilet and had his vision, a vision that would lead to wacky time-traveling misadventures, and the complete overhaul of a DeLorean. I think they even made some kind of movie about it twenty years ago. No, wait, they made three. If those films proved anything, it's that time travel becomes increasingly boring the more you film it. Didn't Stephen Hawking warn about that?
