Neil Gaiman is a bit perplexed. He's getting emails from people at People Magazine about the shooting locations of Beowulf – presumably, they're having trouble stalking Angelina Jolie – which is odd, for two reasons. First off, as he puts it, "if you pick up the trades, they will tell not only where in Los Angeles they're shooting Beowulf but in which studio building." And second, Robert Zemeckis has almost finished working with actors on the motion-capture feature, which Gaiman and Roger Avary adapted from the epic poem. Gaiman goes on to call Jolie's work "excellent" before summing up by announcing that watching the shoot is "like watching the characters from Tron performing Shakespeare on a minimalist set. Only it's not like that at all." But that would be a movie, now wouldn't it?Categories
