He'll change that when he stars in Shantaram, a movie based on Gregory David Roberts' heroin-infused memoir. "I was a revolutionary who lost his ideals in heroin, a philosopher who
lost his integrity in crime, and a poet who lost his soul in a maximum-security
prison. When I escaped from that prison, over the front wall, between
two gun-towers, I became my country's most wanted man," writes Roberts on his website. So who better to adapt such a story than Eric Roth, the man behind ... Forrest Gump? The project is set up at Warner Brothers; no director has yet been named. Categories
