And, sadly, the King Kong we're talking about here isn't the classic
1933 film. Or even an under-reported sighting of a real, giant ape
marauding across New Zealand. Both of those would seem at least
somewhat reasonable. Instead, the New Zealand postal service has
decided to issue a series of five stamps to commemorate Peter Jackson's
(still unreleased) remake. Yes, that's right: Jack Black is on a stamp.
I know folks in NZ are excited about Peter Jackson and all, and that's totally cool. But at least have the decency to wait until a movie comes out before you start issuing stamps! Throw a hobbit on one, for the love of God, but Naomi Watts? I mean, good Lord, people. Have some sense of decency.
