I feel like I maybe shouldn't even blog this rumor for fear of ruining it, but considering we're hardly the first source to allude to it, I think it's probably alright. Richard Linklater's fiction feature adaptation of Eric Schlosser's obstinately non-fiction Fast Food Nation is opening up a production office at Austin Studios next week, in order to prepare for shooting in that city and on location in Colorado and Mexico next month. Here's the touchy part: the project is going by the "working title" of Coyote – essentially a cover so that Linklater can inconspicuously shoot in and around various fast food establishments. Will the name stick? Or is Coyote itself a smokescreen to throw us off the scent of the real fake title? [via Cinema Strikes Back]
