Secuestro Express, a movie about a young couple trying to survive in a car with three kidnappers, has been picked up by Bob Weinstein, and is being touted as the first Venezuelan film to be distributed internationally by a Hollywood studio. The Weinsteins discovered the film during the Los Angeles International Film Festival, and have also signed director Jonathon Jacubowicz for a three-picture deal. Elizabeth Avellan, wife of Robert Rodriguez, is an executive producer for the film.
