I spent a chunk of yesterday at a junket for Paul Provenza and Penn Jillette's documentary The Aristocrats, which comes out in New York and LA this Friday. The twenty minute roundtable with Provenza and Jilette was so soundbite-rich that it seems counterproductive to even try to transcribe. So, I'm just going to break it down into short audio files, and give you one a day until the run out. In this clip, Jillette talks about the unpitchability of good ideas, why the studios are "desperate", and why an ultimatum from George Carlin turned The Aristocrats into a truly independent film.
