Eight years after his death, the movie train has just started to roll on all things Christopher Wallace, AKA slain rap star The Notorious B.I.G. Just a few weeks after Sylvester Stallone announced that his dramatization of the murder investigation would skip theatrical release to premiere on HBO, Fox Searchlight has revealed that it's talking to director Antoine Fuqua about a feature following Biggie's life story. The script is being written by first-timer Cheo Hodari Coker, a journalist who was the last person to interview B.I.G. before he died. Biggie's mother, Voletta Wallace, who has been actively promoting her son's legacy for the past decade, is playing producer. She says that whilst documentaries have tackled the events of the murder and Biggie's rap career, "nobody knows Christopher the human being...It's time for people to know the real him."Categories
