ComingSoon is reporting an unconfirmed scoop about John Travolta possibly
being in line to star in a feature film adaptation of the hit
television show Dallas. According to the site, Travolta hinted that he may be playing 'A man with a mighty big hat' (read: J.R. Ewing) in a Dallas movie during an appearance on The Big Breaky television morning show. What we do know is, Robert Luketic at Regency Enterprises is set to direct, and Steel Magnolias scribe Robert Harling wrote the screenplay. The 1978-91 series centered on the Ewings, a wealthy Texas family whose lives revolve around oil, family and power.
