Everybody's been talking about the possible Simpsons movie - or, at least, everyone's been passing around the same link with the same quote. Now, finally, a spokesperson has come forward to confirm: it's totally on. It's still very much in the early stages, but Antonia Kaughman says that yes, there is a script, and yes, there was a table reading with all six primary actors. Though Matt Groening has said in the past there would be no way to produce a movie while the Tv series was still in production, Kaughman claims that a segment of The Simpsons writing staff has been set aside for working on the film. But other than that, everything is still just beginning - an animation house hasn't even been picked yet - and a release date seems way off.
