The New York Times' Spencer Morgan reports that during Cannes this year, frameworks.com's Pip Chodorov met with Kodak exec Robert Mayson to see if they could iron out the wrinkles created by the company's May 8th announcement that they would halt production of the Official Film of Indie Filmmakers everywhere: Super 8. After the announcement, a collective Nooooooo! rang out among Super 8 lovers everywhere (including my town's little Super 8 Eight-Second Fest, in which we all run around with our cameras and try to construct an 8-second film using the props we're given) and since then, Kodak has suggested they might keep the film around, if someone wants to develop a processing solution for it.
