SupermanBryan Singer will go down in history as creating one of the best comic book to big screen translations ever with his two X-Men movies. Taking on Superman, especially so soon after Christopher Reeves death, is not quite as easy a task. Unlike Batman, Superman needs the bright comic book suit. This image of the new actor portraying Superman, Brandon Routh, in Superman Returns is lackluster to say the least. Aint It Cool News has a huge version for you geeks. But to me there is no need for a new Superman movie. Batman could always use a refreshing and there is a very dark tone that was missed in previous versions. Superman doesn't really need a redeux right now. Smallville does an excellent job at retelling the story in a new and different way but do we need a new movie?
