robinson_j_montreal.jpgRay producers Howard and Karen Baldwin are joining the team behind Robert Redford's untitled Jackie Robinson pic. The film, which Redford has been developing for a year with the blessing of Major League Baseball and the Robinson estate, will track the baseball legend's path towards breaking the MLB color barrier, and will conclude with Robinson's first game as a Brooklyn Dodger in 1947. Redford will play Branch Rickey, general manager of the Dodgers at the time Robinson was struggling to join the team. The role of Robinson has not yet been cast.
