20.jpgCourtney Love will star as Linda Lovelace in a new feature biopic on the Deep Throat star. Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions will produce with Love and her manager, Jason Weinberg. Brian Grazer initially planned to make a Lovelace film several years ago, but decided that the project was "too depressing"; he funded and released the documentary Inside Deep Throat instead. Love has been in and out of court on various charges for the past year-and-a-half, but court-ordered rehab seems to be working its prescriptive magic. She's had her biggest cinematic success to date playing another sex-industry veteran, Larry Flynt's stripper wife Althea in Milos Forman's The People Vs. Larry Flynt. She also appeared in Julie Johnson, which racked up mostly negative reviews when it premiered at Sundance in 2001(!) and which Regent is finally planning to release on May 25 of this year. Blum recently produced The Darwin Awards, and is spearheading Miguel Arteta's planned adaptation of Marty Beckerman's Generation S.L.U.T.
