ann_faris.jpgIt's being reported by Reuters that Anna Faris has signed on to star in the fourth installment of Dimension Films' Scary Movie franchise. This is somewhat surprising news, and not just because it's rare for an original cast memeber to return all the way into the third sequel - it's the first casting news to come out of the Weinstein factory in awhile. No official announcement has been made as to the final fates of Dimension following the Miramax/Disney divorce, but some have speculated that the Weinstein's may be allowed to keep the genre shingle's name. According to this article, Bob Weinstein "is expected to take an active role" in the sequel's production.
